VW Golf 1.6 tdi Service Query

    Hi,

Just a quick question just rang a VW garage this morning to book in my 1.6 tdi golf for its second service. It has 28,000 km on the clock (was bought with 13K on and serviced at purchase).

I got quoted €300 for the service (full service), which I thought was a bit high, they said they would give me 'a bit of a discount'. I booked it in for next week and out of curiousity I rang another VW garage and got priced €210 for a full service, on ringing a few other VW garages I have been told it doesn't need a full service and all it needs is oil & fuel filter and got prices of €149 & €185

I am now totally confused as to what type of service the car actually needs??
    Any help would be appreciated.

Oil and filter is all it needs. Max cost of parts is 60 euro OP, thats crazy money.
