    Hi,

Will be bringing my car to have it looked at it in the next few days but here's what happened, just want an idea on what to expect.

Left my car in driveway on 20th June to go away, no problems whatsoever with it at the time. Got back on 30th June, went to start it and car barely started (which I assume would be relatively normal as it was idle for 10 days)

So brought it for a drive to try recharge the battery. Next day had the same problem but the car just about started, same again for the next couple of days.

Now this morning, my car was trying to start but eventuallly went dead and the clicking sound(which I assume was the starting motor).

It just seems as though the battery is not charging, what puzzles me is that there were no problems at all prior to going away!

Anyone ever have this problem? Really hoping it's nothing too serious and pricey.

    Cheers.

Sounds like your car is draining power somewhere when ignition is off. Interior light maybe?

No not the interior lights or anything. When I drive it for a while then switch the engine off, when I turn it back on straight away it starts like it did before I went away, perfect. It's a few hours/next day where its dead again.

Does seem like the battery is getting drained really quickly but from where?! Or it may well be a knackered battery.

Get the battery tested first :)

Turned out it was the battery, old battery didn't seem to have been changed. Have a new one now so all good, although I did just notice last night that my glovebox light was on and would not turn off when closed, took off the cover and I couldn't touch it was that hot! I just took it out as it was worrying me!
