Looks like they have the times wrong for the Achill half.

The chip time is the same as the finish time and that's not possible unless your right on the line at the start.

My watch time was faster than the finish time they gave me.

I've mailed them at info@achillmarathon and info@precisiontiming.net and would suggest that others do the same

Great race, good day, pity about the mix-up.

At over 60 quid for the race, this should not be happening.

They should post final corrected times.

    Cheers

You will find that in some races the results are provisional, so maybe thats the case in this.

Nah, it's a mistake. I mailed them this morning and they said that they'd change it.

No mention of provisional vs confirmed on the site and the times are already published in the paper.

    Poor form.

Newstalks Eoin McDevitt from Off the Ball placed 75th in a time of 1.36, he is the real star of the day, great man, great show

Ya i think it is very poor that they didn't get that right. Even though its only a minute and a bit.

I wonder was it the people that walking down to the start crossed over the start line. I will send in an email aswell hoping that they can sort it out.

was 4th in this on saturday, was in 3rd up to last 100metres, sickened!!.
ran a shocker do and would have struggled to beat james doran anyway but, having won this last year, 5 minutes quicker than i ran on saturday, it was a poor run/jog.
i have been bringing my pbs down all round since last year, so it makes it worse. i was actually hoping for a quicker time this year.
the guy who was 5th, was down as the same finish time as me but, he was a fair few seconds in after me.
i understand they cant get it all right do 1st time in provisonal results.
It Was worse in a cross country race last year (national novices), i finished in front of a guy in a sprint and was pushed back by the stewards behind him down the finish shute. i was too tired to argue the case but, i did ask them what they were doing..
the next day the results had me 1 place behind him but, 1 second in front of him.!!
will take this on the chin and give it a good crack next year again, please god.
Well done to thrisywork on a good win in clontarf half sunday.
