    Hey all,

1st off - I'm not looking for any medical advise. I have been to see physio & been diagnosed with a case of patellar tendonitis , so got that side of things under control. I've been running for about a year and this is my 1st case of injury. I haven't run in 2 weeks now, and was wondering if anyone has any previous experience with this particular condition and how long did it take to clear up? Missing out on some great weather for running and would love to hear that there is hope for a short lay-off. Physio seemed to think I should be OK for Phoenix park 5 mile on 16th so here's hoping. Any real life experiences would be appreciated.

    Thanks :)

I have suffered from PT in both my knees and its a real pain. Generally I took about a month of after both cases, its one of those things that if it is not completely cleared up any running will aggravate it. I really recommend one of these http://www.physioproducts.ie/store/pc/viewPrd.asp?idproduct=5&idcategory=0, I wear one on all of my runs and it has really helped me get back into good from. Hope this helps!
