Changing gas cooker to electric advice...

Hi, we're changing from a gas oven to an electric oven but leaving the hob as gas. I know the gas line will stay in for the hob but do we need to get a specialist person to change the oven over to electric/shut off the gas or should we just get a general electrician?

If anyone can give me some advice on this I'd be most grateful. Apologies if this has been asked already, I did a search but nothing seemed to quite answer my question. We're in the Navan area if anyone does this aswell.....

    Thanks in advance....

yes you will need an rgi to disconnect and cap off the supply to the oven and certify it . then see what cable is needed from cooker switch on wall to new oven .
I can pm you a number of a chap from rathoath who could do it all in one go for you if you are stuck for someone
