If you're in South Lucan, the 25A or 25B will drop you to Merrion Square. From there you may be able to walk it to Ballsbridge, or you can transfer onto a 4, 7, 8 or 45. Journey times on the 25A/B rarely more than 60 minutes at peak times.

If you're around Lucan Village, the 25, 66, 66a, 66b or 67 will do the same job to Merrion Square in about 70 minutes.

Also, in the mornings the 'X' busses (25x, 67x, 66x) Will get you into town and up to Baggot St Bridge in about 40 mins. Easy walk from there.
