    had to look. fuking self aid.

    that was the year i came close to suicide. Why?

    because i couldn't switch off the radio. despite the following typical announcement.

    "And this just in. McDonalds has just pledged 60 jobs throughout it's nationwide stores. That's right. 60 jobs!. Things are really moving folks."

    and the brain dead DJ getting more and more excited as other companies pledged "hundreds of sales jobs. hundreds folks, you heard me right. Fantastic."

    I wanted to switch off the radio, but i was in rabbit/ headlight mode.

    a terrible , terrible few days.

    As far as I recall, Self Aid achieved close to fuck all for employment in Ireland.

    It did however, make a load of rock stars feel really self important about themselves & helped them shift a few more albums.
