Razer mouse tracking speed really slow in OSX

Does anyone here use a Deathadder Razer mouse with their mac? I keep having to manually increase the tracking speed in OS X system preferences each time I reboot. It's really annoying. (I've already turned it up to max in the software programme that came with the mouse but from what I read online OS X overrides that programme).

    Any ideas?

What version of OS X are you running ? Seems the company are already acknowledging issues with 10.5.6 on their website.

I use a razor deathadder mouse with my mac.

I bought software called steermouse and it works perfectly for that. Download the demo of it and see if you like it.

I've tired Steermouse but I am reluctant to buy software that I might be able to fix myself.I'll have a look at Magicprefs. Thanks

I'm using 10.6.8 until tomorrow when I move to 10.7! Magicprefs is only for Apple devices it seems.
