FaceTime down?

    Is anybody having any problems with FaceTime over last couple of days?

    Not working for me or my wife on our iphones or my daughters iPod Touch but has worked before no problem... FaceTime activated on all handsets and all connected to wifi

    Just my daughter is going away next weekend and would be great to FaceTime with her

    Working perfectly for myself and the missus around an hour ago (her in Cork, me in Carlow, both with Eircom). Sounds like a connection issue on your end or maybe with your router. If it still isn't working trying a hard reset of the devices (fully power them off). If that doesn't work restart the router. If that doesn't work check if you can access the net on the devices. If you can and it's none of the above, perhaps try updating to the latest software on the phones.

    facetime can't be down, it's peer to peer. the first time you facetime however you need to contact an apple server/message centre to see if the other person is a valid facetime user but other than that it uses the two facetime users internet connections.

    You using IOS 5 beta 2. There are issues with facetime not working with it.

    Yes I am using iOS 5 beta 2, and did think my problem may be related to that...


    But my wife is on iOS 4.3.3 and my daughters iPod Touch is also on latest released software and they were having problems connecting...

    Read the change lists before you go installing betas.

    ( or maybe don't install em unless you need to )

    FaceTime was disabled in iOS 5b2.
