Hi. We're in France at the moment, leaving next Sunday from CDG airport. Flight at 10.30am. We are staying on west coast in vendee the Friday night. Have not booked anything for Saturday night yet, but looking for ideas. Ideally we'll get as close to airport to avoid any hassle Sunday morning. But might also be nice to do the drive across in the middle of the day when the kids might sleep for a couple of hours. Have sat nav so not worried about how easy suggestions might be to find. I suppose the obvious choice is google airport hotels, but half hoping there might be something a little nicer to spend our last evening in. Any suggestions most welcome! Thanks.

Stayed in the Novotel at the Airport when the missus lost her passport 3 years ago. It was ok and reasonable enough as far as I remember. I doubt you are going to get anything more than a business type hotel at the airport.

Thanks. I suppose I was thinking maybe travelling up to an hour, so a radius of about 60 to 80kms of the airport. Will keep searching

    Senlis.

25kms from the airport but a very nice place to spend your last night in France.

I can probably track down a hotel is needed.

Chantilly, next door, is also a fine place for a stop-over.

Well tbh then you can choose any Hotel in the city centre because the train to the airport is quite quick. As for the Hotel then it depends on your budget. I can recommend The Ritz but that's around €750 a night ;)

Stayed in the Hilton CDG Airport a few years ago, excellent hotel imo, right on the doorstep of the airport and right next to one of the airports train stations.

Thanks for this Ponster. Did a google search on hotels in Senlis and found the Etap for 43 euro for the night. 5 mins from the centre, a lovely little town, some good restaurants, used Tripadvisor mobile app to find a decent one.

We had a car rental to return to CDG, up at 7.30 in the morning and had loads of time for our 10.20am flight, worked out great. Thanks for the advice. Would recommend Senlis as a last ngiht location, and Etap if you want something very affordable that is clean and convenient, if not at all luxurious.
