I've a feeling this may cause some unrest amongst some people here, but nevertheless, I'm just looking for a few opinions!

So, what do you guys think?? Personally I think a glowing interior would enhance any car!

I was gonna attempt it myself, get the gear from halfords and of course sort out an on/off switch, but I've heard there are some professional outfits out there that specialise in this..is that true?

Before anyone labels me as a boyracer, I'm most definitely not. I just have an appreciation for well kitted out cars! :-)

Hmmm.... am picturing a glowing neon interior shining out from by silver ford focus.... and "enhance" is not the descriptive term that springs to mind! :p

Depends what you mean, I've upgraded the sucky yellow bulbs to led's in my own car and it looks better than stock but I also put in an oem footwell lighting kit.

    DSCN0783.jpg

Its basically just 2 led strips that come on with the doors open then dim and knock off once shut, they arent as bright as the picture looks but a nice touch none the less and less.

That's actually exactly what I'm talking about. The footwell lighting, ones on the doors, perhaps some LEDs in the air vents/speakers etc. How much was that oem lighting kit? And where did you get it? :) Thanks! :)

The kit I got was 100+ as it was a factory option for the car, but Ive fitted practically the exact same thing to a couple of my friends cars using "spurious" led's eg

    http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2-x-24-LED-Linear-Flexible-Strip-Car-Lights-24cm-White-/120612584254?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item1c1511fb3e

You can get them in various colours, anything over 24led per strip is normally a bit long for under the dash but they can be cut to size, €10 max should have you a pair delivered.

Wiring them is simple, you can use the sme circuit that the interior light is on so they only light once the door is open

I've bought a few bits off this site(not for a car) and they were grand. Just if you're looking for something other than ebay.

I think just few led bulbs in the dash and around the inside are very nice instead of neon tube.

Changing the bulbs can do the job fine without the neons IMO
