New semi acoustic advice (a decent one!)

    Hi all,

I am currently playing and gigging a jumbo bodied Tanglewood TW55/FPP semi acoustic, with a Fishman Prefix Pro.

Here is the newer version, it goes for £650/€700, so I would be willing to spend about that much

    http://www.tanglewoodguitars.co.uk/products/acoustic/sundance/tw5559/TW55NSB.html

I am on the look out for a change. I am not fixed on getting a jumbo body again though. I would be open to a parlour bodied one, or a regular bodied jumbo etc....

I have played seagulls, some different tanglewoods and some lower end Martins, and the choice is so big now, I don't know where to start. At the end of the day it will be down to what feels right, but I haven't so much as looked at reviews of semi acoustics in years, so am a bit out of the loop as to what's good these days....

Edit: I would also think of getting a good acoustic and installing a soundhole pickup.....

I'd have to recommend takamine semi-acoustics, such as the ean10c, if your willing to spend in the high hundreds.
