    I'm looking to buy a laptop for general
    Internet use, google chat, YouTube, watching movies, storing pics etc. and would also be installing Microsoft office 2007.

    Is this a good deal cos I really don't have a clue as I've never had a laptop before. I'm getting rid of the PC.

    I really like the Sony vaio also but the thing that I don't like is the low battery life (well for the one I was looking at anyway) whereas the Toshiba has good battery life.
