lost(could have been stolen) my i phone at a party a few weeks ago, cut a long story short, claimed insurance on it and got a new one , got an email earlier from party host saying an i phone had been found but didnt go into detail as too how it turned up , question is what do i do with the phone (assuming its my one ) or is it useless now , sort of feel a little stupid now. will i ring network provider and give it too them

Did you blacklist the phone with your network? If not just get it back and keep your decision private on what you do, no need to tell the internet or you could get in trouble like a previous poster.
