Was just flicking through a few bookies sites and I see Tipp available at 11/10 and Kilkenny 15/8 with some bookies.
My knowledge of Hurling would not be of the hghest level but I cant really see any other team winning the Liam Mc Carthy cup come Sept.
    What u think?
    Who will win it?

Galway are the only others i would give any sort of a chance to, a slim one at that though

Seriously? How come you give Galway a chance? I think they would be doing well to beat Clare.

Because they do have the players to do it, they're just not performing (as usual). Farragher and a few more back today so i'd say they'll take care of Clare alright. Obviously they are a long way from challenging right now but unlike Cork, Waterford or Dublin i think they have a panel that can compete with KK or Tipp if things go their way. Dublin fourth at the moment imo.

Galway are very over-rated..If Canning has a bad game, generally Galway will too!!

Galway proved against Tipp last year they have a top performance in them. If they make it to the last 8, they have a chance.

Dublin, Waterford and Cork will probably see a semi-final as a good season. But if they get to the last 4, anything can happen.

It was more sloppy from Tipp than a top performance from Galway. We should of put that game away but kept making sloppy errors to allow Galway back in.

I really can't see Galway doing anything this year. They would be doing well to get by this hungry Clare side.

I'd be very much surprised if Tipp or KK didn't win this year.

I'm from and support Galway, but eh to be quite honest, they haven't the slightest chance of winning.

Of course if they did, I'd very happily eat my words. But they won't.

if the AI is to be won by the best team in the country then yes, it will be Tipp or Kilkenny, but life can be full of surprises and sport often has the tendency of throwing up the odd surprise too.

Thanks for the replies everyone, impressive win for Galway but I still think its between Tipp and Kilkenny. Who knows what could happen.

I think its between Tipp and the cats myself, but I think this -

is a fairly honest response to OP's question.

Galway, on their day have it in them to be contenders.

I've a fiver on Waterford at 12/1. Think we could win it if we selected the right team and a bit of luck, but we certainly don't seem to be selecting the right team and in the end we needed a bit of luck to beat Limerick.

Agreed, but I think that Tipp will beat KK again in the final

waterford or galway can beat anyone on their day and both have the class to win an all ireland

The final will be Tipp/KK for the third year in a row. They're head and shoulders above the rest, the rest of us can only dream of the quality produced in those two finals. I've never seen anything like the intensity and skill on display in last year's final.

Where i would worry about Tipp this year is the fact that we havent found a replacement for Declan Fanning of yet who was instrumental last year. The Decie have been our achilles heel over the years so we had better be careful next week. They have beaten us in 02, 04, 06 and 08 and are a good team. We must'nt take them lightly.

In more recent times ye have beaten us vey soundly last tow times out though. I'll be travelling more in hope than expectation next week tbh.

I'd have to agree with this. I don't like to be negative of my teams chances but anything other than a Tipp win would be a surprise tbh.

If Tipp sort out the right side of our defence we're in with a right chance, we have pur strongest panel available, despite what happened today ,still fairly optimisitic we can retain liam.

Could be totally wrong, but who knows??
    Path to the final 2011:
Munster final Tipp v Wat= Tipperary
    Cork/Gal=Galway Lim/Ant= Limerick
    Quarter finals= Dub/Lim= Limerick Wat/Galway= Galway
    Semi-finals KK/Gal=KK Tipp/Lim=Tipperary
    Final KK/Tipp=Tipperary

I reckon today's performance could be beneficial to tipp as a lot of media attention will probably go back to kk, so i'm declan won't mind.

I like the way you predict a Kilkenny v Galway semi final.

Kilkenny have played at the semi final stage every year since the turn of the century.

And the only side to knock them out at the semis since then has been Galway ! A couple of times.

Who knows ? History might repeat itself. :)

Didnt Galway play KK in the semis in 2007 and lost am I correct?

I dont know how you can write Cork off totally, Galways championship record against Cork has been shocking and I think Cork will take Galway again.

Jesus lads there won't be much between Cork and Galway next weekend. Should be a cracker.

Nah quarters. They bet Wexford in the semis!

Not writing off cork at all, just at the moment i see galway winning, but galway blow hot and cold so i may revise that verdict!

Agreed. Is it on the TV? I didn't see any mention of it on the Sunday Game tonight.

I don't know but I'd say it will be a 7pm game and on TV. That's just guessing though.

Galway lost to KK in Q.F in both 2006 and 2007.

Some cracking games between them in the last decade.
