Percolation Area/Soil Polishing Filters

    Hi All

My sister has just started building her house and is having trouble getting her head around the percolation area (is this the same as soil polishing filters), water treatment systems etc.
She's building in a small cluster and the percolation area for all the houses has/is being done for them as part of the development.

On the planning conditions it states they have to get a Biocycle system but she is looking at an alternative cheaper option.

The farmers who own the land are currently reapplying for an extra 2 houses to be added to the cluster and so an architect would need to sign off on the existing percolation area as they intend to use this for the extra houses.
If my sister was to go ahead with her alternative (forgetting for one second about breaking the terms on her own site), would it effect the percolation area that the other houses are using and would it stop the architect signing off on them bring in compliance with the t&c of the orig. planning conditions to be in accordance with instructions of Biocycle ltd, or do they all work more or less the same way?
