Here is the route info along with the garmin data
    http://connect.garmin.com/activity/96224437

I really wanted to do the ring of Kerry but due to some birthday plans later I couldnt make it so I made up own RING OF MAYO!! :D:D:);)
Its similar distant to the rok, started at 6am! my plan was to enjoy it and break the 100 mile marker!
Ive never cycled more than about 75 mile so I knew I was taking on alot!
I brought 2 bottles with me, 1 with water,1 with lucozade sport, an energy gel,a nutri grain, an elevenses bar.
Hadnt really planned on stopping but after 95mile I was out of liquids so I stopped in swinford.
I was hoping to keep a 30km/hr average, just fell short of this with 29.5km/hm but overall im delighted with myself :D:cool:;)

congrats to everyone completing and taking part in the ring of Kerry, I know its a huge task and Hopefully next year ill join ye, looking forward to hearing about it
    Kieran:)

    Very very impressive.

Doing it on your own - no drafting possible, lack of psycholical stimulii.
Also having to provide all of your own needs and provisions.

    Very well done to you!;)

183 in just over 6 hrs is fast, maybe I'm just too used to hills slowing me down.

    well done.

those elevenses bars are the business too, nom`nom nom

Shtory Piophan? Ive just recently started cycling and am slowly getting bits and pieces of gear together, Whats the make and model of your cycle computer? is it any good? How does it take heart rate?

It's a garmin 500 with heart rate strap and cadence measurement (rpm of the pedals), if you click the link tot he training activity you can see on the bottom left what type of device people use.

The strap goes around you chest and wirelessly connects to your device.

    info and best price:
