What do I do for Thailand visa?

Will be arriving into Thailand in a few days overland, which I understand gives you a 15 day tourist visa. The only problem is we intend to stay about 3 weeks, before flying from Bangkok to oz and then back to bangkok again(which will give us another 30 day visa).

But my question is, how can we get a visa that will allow us to stay more than 15 days in Thailand when we arrive in a few days? We are currently on the Perhenitian islands in Malaysia.

Any help would be very helpful :)

You can get a 30 day tourist visa at any Thai embassy or consulate - there is one in KL and in Penang. You may have to wait overnight but I'm not sure. The alternative would be to fly back in or to do a border run after 15 days, but it probably wouldn't be worth the hassle!
