Let's celebrate the spirit of capitalism! Doesn't matter what you do - people will naturally make capitalism work.

    Proof?

Despite the strangulation of Gaza the capitalists on either side of the blockade win. They are fantastically imaginative and determined people who, against the might of the Western backed blockade of Gaza, continue to trade.

FFS they can even 'smuggle' cars thru tunnels!

What about human traffickers ? Are they fantastically imaginative and determined people who, against the might of the law and human rights, continue to trade ? Yayyy for capitalism and all that be accomplished in the pursuit of profit. Three cheers for greed.

I think what he was asking OP is would you like to celebrate the spirit of human trafficking and child pornography ? I'm afraid I won't be able to make it to your party. I'm washing Joe Higgins' hair that night.:pac:

Your logic is flawed. Because some wicked people are invovled with human trafficking doesn't equate that people trading amongst themselves is a bad thing.

I hate to break it to you, but by the very definition of Capitalism your example is moot.

Mark Corrigan: And listen, while we're at it, there are systems for a reason in this world, economic stability, interest rates, growth. It's not all a conspiracy to keep you in little boxes, alright? It's only the miracle of consumer capitalism that means you're not lying in your own ****, dying at 43 with rotten teeth and a little pill with a chicken on it is not going to change that. Now come on, **** off.

    Truth

What kind of Capitalism? Free-market? Corporate? Social? Mixed? etc.

My own experience is that a Social Democratic country with a balance of Socialism and Capitalism can work very well to the benefit of the most number of people.
