Hi lads.I put a bet on Totesport for Uruguay to win the Copa America as they were decent odds.Within a day or two my account has been suspended because they can't verify I'm over 18.So a passport, drivers licence or national id will suffice but I was wondering,Would they accept a scan of a Garda id?It's technically a national id for us I presume?(I'm probably wrong:o)

I suppose most people on here have sent a copy of their passport/drivers licence?I think my passports lying around somewhere so I might use that if I can find it,Unless you can provide me with any horror stories:eek:
For some reason I'm a bit reluctant to send them on my passport.I've never got onto any other betting site besides pp because of it.

I guess I'm just looking for reassurance that its the norm to do so.I'd like to start using betfair and others that are a bit more competitive odds-wise compared to pp.Looking at them on oddschecker has made me realise just how tight they are!

I'm sure they'd accept a scan of the Garda I.d,they accept a scan of the passport as far as I'm aware.

To an extent, it is not even an age thing. They just need to verify who you are; i.e. no different to a bank account.

Send off a copy of either your Garda or Passport and something with your address on it. Also keep a digital copy of these (on your pc/or if you are that way inclined a USB stick), so its easy to access/send on to others; provided you are over 18 :pac:.

    Cheers for the replies.

Thats cool I have plenty of bills I can send on anyway.I'll sort it out in the next week then. How swiftly I sort it out really depends on how Uruguay get on!
