Right that time of the year again, stuck horribly in platinum, not getting any better, playing against gold/plat players (not diamond) and losing far too many. The replays below are both TvZ, which is (or at least was) my best match-up, although it seems to have gone to **** lately. I should drop more but its hard when I have no map control against so many mutas, presumebly I need to take my third faster but its hard when I do so little damage on my opening push. Is the build just ****?

maybe don't tell him that his nat is not fully saturated and his main is over saturated. :P

There are a few things at the beginning that I noticed were a bit off. This might help.

And always think the Marine, Tank build against Zerg is bad, its so much cheaper for zerg to make a few banelings and swarm the tanks with speedlings.
One thing I would like to say terran, early air harrassment kicks ass against zerg.

EDIT: I know I am only silver, just a couple of things I noticed.

Marine/Tank is pretty standard TvZ, don't think thats it.

Wrong. Marine tank is one of Terrans best builds v zerg, that and Thor hellion are the only two decent terran builds v zerg. Marine tank, with decent micro and tank placement, is extremely cost effective, and, as a zerg, i can tell you that marine tank, in the hands of a skilled terran, is very hard to deal with.

Marine tank requires good control and positioning awareness and the ability to macro while in combat.

I prefer Hellion Thor just because every zerg player is so used to facing tank-marine and know you just need to point their blings at the marines and clean up the tanks with mutas while they marines are stimming away like crazy. Marine/Hellion/Thor seems so much more forgiving.

as i've said, in the hands of a GOOD terran, marine tank is the hardest build to deal with.

I'm a silver league terran and just wondering what the basics are for the Thor/Hellion build? My micro is lacking for those marine+tank versus muta/bane/ling battles.

Orizio, do you harrass much with early marines, or early drops, or Banshees?
My TvZ's have gone alot better if I put the zerg under pressure as early as possible even if my macro slips horrendously.
