How many irish on census

    The papers are going on about the baby boom etc etc - but really, how many of the people on the census are actually irish?

    No, the information isn't available. It's still being assessed. If we take your random figure as accurate, you're looking at approximately 500,000 people living in the state that 'aren't' Irish. What's your point?
