does social welfare cover a distance learning course?

I have been on jobseekers allowance for a good while now and i'm wanting to enrol in a course but the only way i can do this specific course is online and i was wondering does anyone know if social welfare give any money towards it as its a pretty steep course to apply for? Thanx.
