Auburn hair dye?

Since stripping my hair from burgundy red at the start of this year, I've been getting it dyed a light auburn colour in my local hairdressers. Sadly as a 17 year old with no job, I can't really justify or find €60 to get my hair dyed every 6 weeks. I tried Clairol Nice N Easy in Warm Auburn earlier today, which left my scalp feeling like it was burning and nearly passing out, so I was wondering if anyone knows of another permanent colour like the Nice N Easy, preferably not a ten minute one as my hair is just past collar bone length and quite thick I wouldn't be able to work through it that fast. Thank you! :)

I've used henna over dyed hair a few times in the past.

I used Caca Rouge from lush it actually made my hair into the best condition its ever been in.

If your hair is a slightly dark brown/dark auburn colour it will give a light auburn effect. I would have put it over the nice and easy auburn colour (when it had become very washed out). The tones look great in the sun.

I'm not to sure about the safety of other hennas over dyed hair though and its also a pain in the tail to remove.

Probably best not to use Henna cos they can react with the chemicals in regular dye, and if you don't like it afterwards, you won't be able to put another one over it...

Best colour is Herbashine, no chemicals, and the colour is AMAZING.
