    Hi All

I'm heading to Barcelona in September for a week with my bf and was wondering could anyone recommend cheap accomodation to stay in while there in the city centre? Our budget is quite low so we're even up for staying in hostels!

Any recommendations greatly appreciated boardsies! :)

    Hey

I spent a lot of time looking into where I'm staying when I visit Barcelona, so I'll try help out with a couple of suggestions. :) ..... Just be warned, in the city centre it seems that there are a lot of places to stay, but some are quite expensive.

The Barcelona Mar Hostel : It starts from around €19-€20 per person per night.

5 minutes on foot to La Rambla. walking distance to Plaça Catalunya, Passeig de Gracia, Maremagnum shopping centre and the port.
Breakfast in included apparently, and there is a 24hr reception available.
To be honest, it's great if you're travelling with a group of friends, but if it's just you and your boyfriend you might want somewhere a little cosier and private. (Or Not! lol)

Hostal Barcelona : For a week, you're looking at around €300 for the two of you.

5 minutes’ walk from the Corte Inglés Shopping Centre in the Sant Gervasi district. Muntaner Metro Station is 5 minutes’ walk away and from here you can get to Plaza Catalunya in 10 minutes.

I wasn't really looking at too many hostels to be honest when I was booking, it was more hotels, but I'm planning on travelling in August. It turned out to be a lot cheaper than September. Most hotels I found for September were in around the €500 mark for a week.

That's just me though, maybe someone on here knows a secret place or two! :)
