I have a 05 Focus Hatch and the keys just do not want to be found since yesterday. Have tried everywhere, problem is though the car is locked with the spare key inside the car, silly i know. I am going to have to break a window now to get it in to get it or does anyone know how else I could get into the car?

Have you tried a lock smith? They deal with these type of problem everday.

Get a locksmith. I'd imagine the €60 or so they would charge would be cheaper than replacing a window.

Or get a quote for a basic replacement key?

Did you double lock the car last time (double click the lock button)

You can buy the focus lock pick for nearly that money. Not to difficult. YouTube videos available. Look at ukbumpkeys forum.

Edit: I do. Not condone lockpicking for any illegal means.

OP get a replacement key. Happened me in a 00 mondeo years ago where I locked the key in the boot. Was up in Cavan and live in Dublin.

Rang dealer who was able to pass on code of key to the local Ford dealer. He had the replacement cut and sent out to me in a matter of a few hours and it cost very little.
The key was just to open the door and wouldn't have started the car.

Total cost was very small compared to replacing glass.

Do you have AA menbership or breakdown cover as part of your insurance? They will come out and get the car opened.

Where are you from? If near Limerick contact Lockdoctor.
