It's Official Now - Fukushima Nuclear Radiation Found In US Food

Thanks to the jet stream air currents that flow across the Pacific Ocean, the U.S. is receiving a steady flow of radiation from Fukushima Daichi. And while many scientists say that the levels of contamination in food pose no significant threat to health, scientists are unable to establish any actual safe limit for radiation in food. Detection of radioactive iodine 131, which degrades rapidly, in California milk samples shows that the fallout from Japan is reaching the U.S. quickly."

"Additionally, drinking water tested in some U.S. municipalities also shows radioactive contamination. Is the fallout from Fukushima Daichi falling on us? Yes, it is."

“Children are much more susceptible to the effects of radiation and stand a much greater chance of developing cancer than adults,” states Andrew Kanter, M

I hate this. First you got chernobyl, now Fukushima...

Seems we've hit an all time glow...

Who is Ushima and why is he to blame?

Seems legit. There's another article on that site about air on the moon.

He was that Chinese guy who held Weiwei for too long and pissed all over Japan.

I think you'll find that you're mistaken there.

It's shocking the lack of information being made public on the matter.
The states will have more to worry about when the weapons-grade plutonium in Los Alamos catches fire. But they probably won't report anything about that either.

Mr Shima has been aware of it for some years.:(

    Hopefully.

enenews.com has been painting a pretty grim picture for the last couple of months though...
And it's not just "UFO blogger" type stuff. More's the pity.

Given that the majority of users of this site live in/near Ireland why should radioactivity in American food be of any more interest to us than radioactivity in Japanese food ?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,034 ✭✭✭Ficheall

Because it's about the same distance from Japan to Ireland as it is from Japan to the US?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 8,018 ✭✭✭Mike 1972

The prevailing winds/ocean currents dont travel directly from Japan to here though.

No doubt it will make it here eventually too but it is unlikely to constitute the principal source of manmade non medical radioactive exposure.

i agree with you here, on lack of information, my guess is we are not hearing the whole story, and i am thinking it is ten times worse that they are letting on, afraid to lose earnings

Because each contaminated hot dog that the Americans eat could possibly lead to an Incredible Hulk or a Spiderman.

Imagine how much easier it would be to make Superhero movies then?

The japanese once tried to posion the americans with balloons filled with disease sent over on these very same winds

There's more radiation in a banana than the yanks are getting.
Yes, bananas are the most radioactive food you can eat.....though in the journalistic style of the OP, I should have said it like this...

"NUCLEAR BANANAS ARE KILLING OUR CHILDREN!"

    Sub heading..
What they're not telling you is that 100% of all nuclear banana eaters will die.

    3.5mSv annually, eh?
That's the amount contained in Japanese urine these days...
    http://search.japantimes.co.jp/cgi-bin/nn20110627a2.html

Nothing to worry about at all.

I don't know I never looked it into and it is probably a question for Bear Grylls but what is the normal amount of radiation found in piss? It does after all contain some radioactive substances.:)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,034 ✭✭✭Ficheall

True - but I would imagine that if annually one is "exposed to" 3.5mSv and someone is pissing 3mSvs, they've probably been "exposed to" those 3mSvs?
It doesn't sound good in any case.

Not unless they like to swim in their own piss.:D
