Ableton Certification Program - August 27th and 28th

Hi folks, below is an announcement for the first Ableton Certification Program in Ireland:

Ableton and Enda Quealy are excited to announce the first certification event for Irish Ableton Live trainers. This event will take place at The Suite in The Twisted Pepper, Dublin 1, on the 27th and 28th of August, 2011.

There are over eighty Ableton Certified Trainers around the world since the Certification Programs launch in 2008. Now we invite the best and brightest teachers of Ableton Live from the Republic of Ireland and the North of Ireland, to a weekend of intense testing. The trainers who demonstrate both Ableton Live expertise and excellent teaching skills, will receive the title "Ableton Certified Trainer".

Ableton Certified Trainers can take advantage of a number of benefits, including:

• Trainer Listing on Ableton.com
• Authorization to use the Ableton Certification Trainer Logo
• Access to Ableton Certified Trainer forum
• Special marketing support for training events
• Attractive licensing options from Ableton and partners
• Preferred BETA access on new versions of Ableton products

Those interested in participating in this program are invited to send a cover letter with Curriculum Vitae and a link to a demonstration video of them teaching in front of a classroom situation. The deadline for this is the 15th of July 2011.

Applicants who successfully pass the first round of submissions will be asked to pass a one-to-one interview with an Ableton Product Specialist. Successful interviewers will receive an invitation to the Certification Event.

Although the purpose of the event is to test your skills as a potential certified instructor of Ableton products, it is also a unique networking opportunity in which you can exchange your specialized knowledge of Ableton with fellow instructors.

Is there a cost involved in this and if so how much?

Hi there, there is a cost alright.

Ableton usually charge €1000 for certification, but seeing as cash is scarce these days (!); we've worked out a charge of €500, allowing you to work back the other €500 in the form of public demos and workshops etc. It is a chunk of money, but the benefits of being certified, especially if you are linked into a training centre, are big too.

By the way, the deadline has been pushed back to midnight, Friday the 22nd of July. All that is needed at this stage is a professional CV and a letter of motivation.
