My problem is that although i have been in my present accommodation for over a year, i have only recntly changed my address at the social wlefare offcie.

Now as i am applying for rent allowance, i have to state when i started my new tennancy which is over 12 months ago, so obviously there will be a diparity between the dates i give to the CWO and the dates that the scoial welfare have (where on theiur records i only moved a few weeks ago). Will this cause a rpoblem? I wasnt engaging in any kind of fraud or anything, just never bothered informing Social Welfare of change of address, and postman knew me so just dleivered dokets etc to my new address.

Your CWO has access to the Social Welfare system and will be able to see when your address was changed by them on this. You may have an issue because of this - if your rent allowance application is based on renting for over 6 months, their system will show something different.
You are supposed to keep Social Welfare updated of any change of circumstances as all times, such as moving address, so you may have an issue.
