Fuse could be gone alright, or it could just be dirty so not making a good connection.

    What car is it?

    I'd wager it's the fuse.

Same problem in my 04 1.4 astra, apologies for my ignorance but how do you fix it? Would a motor factors have the fuse needed?

Mine went last week too when I accendetly pulled the whole unit out of the dash.. must have shorted... check your fuse box first you may have spares.. otherwise check what amp it is and motor factors, halfords or woodies will have them... easy to swap out yourself..
