Howdy, have a problem where the PTO lever doesnt start the PTO, the switch on the lever doesnt seem to do anything, can the solenoid be wired directly to a switch? Or does it need to be connected to the tractors computer. Im basically wondering how the PTO is clutched, as I cant understand how it gets up to speed. Does the computer control a PTO clutch or something?

yip, the controller computer unit was sent off and repaired, cost about €300 to do. The computer controls the PTO clutch so wiring the PTO solenoid directly is not a good way to go. We also had to replace the switch on the lever which was also buggered. That was about €45, but i found them on ebay afterwards of course.

Hi I am having problems with the pto in my case mx110 it seems to be in 1000 speed all the time no matter which way the lever is put. Pto was not used on the tractor for a few years could this mean a solenoid is stuck or something thanks
