Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

it looks like that these threads on rugby league in ireland is almost redundent, unless its super league or australian stuff .if youse want to debate will finish with this thread , with ......why where there no carlow crusaders who are by far the best team in ireland for the last few years not selected on the wolfhounds (a)team this year, also no eagles from dublin either. ben moriarity, and joe taylor not available . about a dozen limerick titans .6 from the north a couple of exiles thats it , when you look at the results so far from the provinces leinster whacked ulster by 40 points , ulster beat munster . where does that put munster with about 12 players on the squad,?

Following the farcical domestic club competition, the incompetence displayed in the Student campaign, the Inter-Provincial series and the All-Ireland play-offs and the composition of the Wolfhounds A squad for the Wales game.... who cares about the stature of rugby league in Ireland - the governing body doesn't.

OP, theres little interest in ANY Rugby League on Boards. The number of posters and posts throughout indicates this, its not just the Irish game, its the game in general. I don't mind reading your posts but I have little or no insight into the game here ( apart from what I read on this forum) so don't really feel I can contribute.

No Carlow players were available as they are attending the wedding of one of the players. None trained last Sunday at team training or tuesday for Leinster training

right so,, no excuse for not training , is that squad named barring injuries the panel for the other two matches cause players have to pay for there own flights

Obviously, Keer, Barcoe, Ratahi, Taylor & Moriarty were missed. Sadly, this was Ireland "A"s worst defeat in 7 years.
I heard there were a lot of lads who were new to the game. It's great to blood these guys (if they have a genuine interest in the sport and are training/playing regularly with their RL clubs) but to introduce too many of them in one game might have been a bit too much all at once.
I would imagine that defensive organisiton (esp goal line defense and quick plays by the opposition) would be problematic.
Hopefully thing can be tightened up before the game against the English.

good point , but no north east eagles who were very narrowly beaten by carlow only 2 points in the leinster final, am not sure of all there names or availabilty but the vast majoirity of them make up the leinster squad who have all but won the provinces this year munster must beat them by more than 42 points late july to hold on to there crown ,this smells of a leinster v munster battle although not on the pitch , dont really know what wolfhounds can take from that defeat , but england should beat them by about 35 points ,,,
