    Hey,

Going to Transformers 3D tomorrow night in the Savoy, Dublin. Just wondering if anybody knows are you charged extra for the 3D glasses or do you just give them back? €11 would surely include this? (€10.50 + 50c booking fee).

    Thanks in advance.

Most places charge 50c to a euro for a pair, yet another extra cost associated with this cinematic plague. Not sure about Savoy though! If you have any extra bring 'em for safety.

A few people I know kept their pairs and brought them to another 3D movie, cinema still made them pay the extra. Total piss take.

EDIT: Not talking about the savoy btw....

Its an extra 1.50 in cineworld to see a 3D movie and another euro on top of that if you need the glasses too. 3D sucks. Its too dark and looks ****e. 2D FTW

Glasses were free in the Savoy. Although you get them brand new, sealed in plastic wrapper, you are meant to give them back after the movie (cleaned and repackaged?).

I brought glasses from Dundrum to the Swan Cinemas in Rathmines and compared the two mid-film. There is a huge difference in light filters, so I'd recommend only using the glasses they give you in each separate cinema (if you have a local, should be easy to keep a pair).

Whats very annoying in Cineword is having to pay extra to see 3D films even though you have an unlimited card and your own glasses.
