you need to be mad to join the sport (its a requirement) so to answer your question, not really. is the gun 2nd hand?

Rent for a few games first , you might not like a g36.While that may seem cheap , it could be a waste of money if you find that you would prefer an M4 or something different.

yes,the guy who's offering had used it for a month before he left for the states.he said 315fps just won't cut it there.I've heard they're very reliable.
    thanks

hmm im renting this sunday, and i think i'm using a g36c,i tried the g36c and an m4 at a range, and the m4 just doesn't fell right to me.I find them both quite heavy at the moment, but give me it for a week or two and it'll be like a bag of sugar :)

€110 for a JG G36 in good nick isn't a bad deal in my expert opinion - I'd happily pay that for one - whilst it wouldn't be all singing and dancing up to my standards (I like highly upgraded bástard guns) for a first gun you can't go wrong. They're one of the most reliable and robust AEGs I've seen, I know lads who've been using them stock for years without issue. If I was to start all over again, I'd probably buy one.

But to be honest your best bet is to go to a site and have a look at everyones stuff. Just ask - nearly all airsofters, if not all, are happy to let you have a look at their stuff! Find what suits your taste and requirements before splashing out!

    Expert? you? hah!

Welcome to the sport. Are you mad? I bought my first rifle before playing my first game :P so no, you arent.

Good choice of gun, reliable, and powerful, and simple. Won't cut it in the states? Oh it will, it just takes change of use... plus he could have upgraded it. Dont tell him that, I say buy it. great entry bargain.

I started off using a JG G36c while the gun is good for newcomers its not the best!

My advice would be to rent for the first couple of games to try it out, then start buying the gear!

But with the prices some sites cahrge for rental AEGs it wouldnt be much more if he was to go and buy the G36 for E110

I had all my kit bought before i even went near a site... :o camo, boots, guns, tac vest...
looking back at it now.... just do ALOT of research into what you are buying... I did and instead of buying a crappy CA M15 sportline.. i bought a CA Proline CQBR... still works a treat....
but if i had to restart.. i probly would have got something along the lines of the G&G raider or G&G GR16 Combat machine.

+1 to this I ended up just walking into a shop with cash in my pocket and was told that sportslines were all they had in my price range. To be fair they told me that they weren't the best guns and offered to replace the usless internal parts (plactic bushings, sector gear, piston) without labour costs, but I barely had enough for the gun.
To be fair the gun lasted around 50k rounds before the spring broke but seriously do a bit of research into the gun first. You'll be happy you did.

Stephen, if your playing the CQB game in Cork tomorrow I'll be there.
Look for the 6'4 blonde guy with a M4 and m203.
I had played two games with rentals and asked people about the different guns and looked at the feel of them aswell before I got my gun.

Something I say to virtually all people getting into the sport is the above; go and rent first. Why? The reasons are twofold:

    A) You get to figure out a rough idea of what playing style you prefer. If you're a run & gun, you need a full auto maneuverability (well, not really, but it helps) beasty. If you're the sneaky type, then perhaps a DMR role. It helps sway opinion between bolty and AEG etc. It is a truly eye-opening experience, and an educational one to boot.

    B) Ask people on site about what's a good gun to buy. You get a lot of different recommendations, and quite probably a diverse approach to logic. This helps your decision process by giving you a lot to think about, and it gives you some serious tools for research.
