Fly Tying

    Ho folks,

    so I was thinking of getting into fly tying seeing how I get on. Can anyone reccomend a starter kit, where to get one? whats needed? If someone here has something for sale?

    rorys have a very fancy french make for about 60 euro.
    southside angling can make one up for you for the same price, ask for des.

    Right so. Kit bought, €25 for a beginner set with all the tools. Jus need to get me somme materials now and decide on which flies to make. Might try a few pike flies or bass flies to get me used to the process. Nice big hooks big bits of material etc...

    Nice one what did you settle on?
    got one last christmas have tied a good few rainbow trout flies & caught a few fish on them. Thats the best bit actually catching something other than a cold with your own flies.

    herself is much better at it, smaller fingers! Thats my excuse & im sticking to it:D
