Picked this up in Dunnes in Arklow today, I'm guessing it's nationwide.

12 cans in Tesco for 4.50 today (Merrion)

    1 can = 330 ml
    330 x 24 = 7920 ml (lets call it 8 euro)

So for roughly for the price of 4 2 litre bottles, you can get 24 cans.

    Not really a bargain.

In pure volume terms you are correct, however:

    1) Cans taste better

    2) They get colder

    3) There isn't nearly as much redundant coke at the end of the container as there is with bottles (the last 250ml+ in a 2L bottle of coke are always flat for me and so undrinkable ) - with the cans you are not under pressure to finish the can quickly like you are with bottles

    It most certainly is,

Cheap slabs of Coke is one of the old reliables on Bargain Alerts, when it's on offer you swoop and and you stock up.

Flat Coke from the bottom of a lukewarm 2 litre Bottle just isn't the same.

Bargain and a half.. got them at this price when they were available a month back.

Good to see it available again.

You really can't compare ice cold Coke from a can with a 2 litre bottle.

Fully agree. Cans are the way forward. I used to always get bottles, but discovered the joys of the cans.

Still have 3 cans from the last time they were on sale in Dunnes (a month back), and there's no yellow markings on them.

    Can't argue with that science
