Anyone know on grounds on which you can repeat 4th year?
    I got a 2.2 but I need a 2.1 to get into medicine

If you have a really good medical reason you might be able to do it.

edit: Oh and talk to your tutor obviously.

You can't repeat fourth year, I'm fairly sure that if you fail they just give you an ordinary degree. If you were able to complete the year and get a 2.1 it's highly unlikely that you have good enough grounds to have any chance whatsoever to repeat the year. Check the college calendar and as above, talk to your tutor, but I wouldn't hold my breath.

You can do medicine with a 2.2 in the University of Nottingham and St. George's University in London. Works out cheaper too. Would be my choice anyway.

If your circumstances are exceptional you can, though I think it needs to be a "didn't even sit the exams due to circumstances" sort of scenario...

To the best of my knowledge it is not possible to repeat 4th year. If a candidate is unfit to sit the examination then the examination can be deferred to the following year. But that is not counted as a repetition of year.

And also, if people sit exams and pass them, they are not allowed to repeat to get a higher grade.

To the best of my knowledge it is possible, but you need very exceptional circumstances and you might have to swim through an ocean of bureaucracy to get there. However, this really isn't helping the OP, I think all they can do is go to their tutor and discuss their own situation.

If your only reason for repeating is to get a higher grade then it's impossible. Pretty sure once you've sat the exams it's game over.

Is it possible to repeat certain modules of 4th year, current assessment ones, not an exam?
I'm in the middle of talks with education office, tutor, senior lecturer, department etc, just want to see if anyone has any more info.
I did really well in the exams, it was just two modules before christmas that I got 42 and 40% in. I was suffering from a condition at the time but only got a med cert for it now.

I highly doubt it. You may as well keep asking but I'm fairly certain once you've completed the year then that's that.

I thought it was more common to be awarded an aegrotat degree in such exceptional circumstances.
