Sounds like that chap should be locked away for good, to be honest.
My gawd! Terrible - and no joking.

Why was he allowed out of his home country?

Probably wanted to be rid of him?

Sick kunts like that will always be a threat to women. Just take him out the back and empty a clip into his head.

It's cases like that that make you wonder why torture is not allowed anymore. He should have his fingers nails pulled out weekly, and flogged daily for his 15 year sentence!

He should also be done for lewd conduct in the courts.

Nobody with convictions like that should be allowed in Ireland. Convicted for stealing a mars bar? Sure, we'll give you another chance.. But rape or any other violent crime? Absolutely not. The EU needs to have policy made on this, as I assume it does not have it already.

Living in Ireland should not be a right for any non-Irish citizen. It should be a privilege. Be a lawful, and good natured person and I'm more than happy for you to come here - but if you're violent, you don't deserve to be here.

He probably has some sort of mental issue, in which case he'll probably always be a threat. He should be locked up for a very long time, preferably in an asylum.

He should be put into the same wing as the biggest scumbags and thugs we have locked up and give them a chance to vent their issues.

At one point the judge heard boiling water was thrown over him while he was in custody in Mountjoy Prison

    Brilliant.

    Edit...nevermind
However, sources within the Prison Service believe he threw the water over himself in an attempt to get the trial abandoned or delayed. One official said the only other person who could have thrown the water was his cellmate, who guards describe as shy and non-confrontational.

And restraining and raping a women for over 30 minutes is not torture?
I'm not suggesting we as a society should torture people in general. Just this guy. He shows no remorse for his actions, so he in turn should be shown none!

OMG. You can't make this stuff up.

Why are we allowing CONVICTED CRIMINALS into this country!

This guy is a nut job by the sounds of it and should never be allowed walk the streets again.

In the likes of Australia and the States, you're criminal record is looked at before you're allowed in to work. Why doesn't Ireland have any system?

Of course restraining and raping a woman for over 30 minutes is torture. I am saying that we should not be lowering ourselves to the level of this guy, who is clearly mentally deranged.

Why the hell didn't the original Polish translator alert people to his antics when they saw him jerking off?!!?
It has emerged that he began to masturbate in the dock during his trial last May when the woman got in the witness box and recounted the details of the assault. The entire courtroom was unaware what was happening except for Jakbowski’s Polish translator.

The translator was sitting beside him at the time and later reported it to the prison guards. Neither the judge nor jury was made aware of the incident. The next day a new translator was found for the trial.

Should be castrated and definately expelled from Ireland when his sentence is up. to serve his sentence

Irish taxpayers shouldn't have to pay for his upkeep in prison.

I'm almost unshockable these days but that's pretty shocking.

Rape is obviously a terrible crime that the victim may live with for the rest of her life but anyone who can first do that and then masturbate in court while the testimony of the rape is being recounted belongs somehow on an even higher level of sickness. I wouldn't let someone like that out of prison or the part of a mental hospital where they keep dangerous unrepentants.

You have to wonder, going on what came out in the trial, why he's being sent to a prison. He's clearly fucked up in some serious manner, and he's not going to get cured staring at bars for a few years, waiting to get out. This comes up a lot, with feckers displaying clearly deviant behaviour, getting sent away, then coming out as bad or worse as they went in.

About four according to a Gard mate of mine.

But surely the very point is that he's 'sick'. You cannot be compos mentis to behave like that. As such, it's difficult to apply the normal rules of the law.

Was he even fully conscious of what he was doing, in the strictest sense of the word?

The man does indeed need to be locked up... but in a mental health facility.

    Exactly Nodin.

You can't actually treat people like this like normal 'criminals'.

What happens when this guy gets out after serving his sentence?? He sound like he definitely has mental health issues and should be locked away until he is no longer deemed a threat to women. And if treatment doesn't work on him-(will he even get any in prison??) he should not be allowed out ever again.

Better still he should have been sent back to Poland to serve his sentence there and never allowed back into this country.
We have enough of our own scumbags like him to deal with without looking after other countries at tax payers expense.

The test for his freedom has to be 'is he a risk' as oppossed to 'is his time up' and the place for that is a secure facility, not the joy.

He'd get a quarter off for 'good behaviour', which would mean about 11 years served, but the chances of this guy getting through prison with 'good behaviour' intact, I'd say are about nil.

Exactly. The man clearly has mental problems. The reactions of people on here, saying things like 'he should be castrated!' or 'torture him!' are perfect examples of why the mob should never be allowed to rule. People love to act the vigilante without knowing anything about what they're talking about. I'm not saying that what he did wasn't wrong, it was and it's sick. But that's the thing - the man is clearly sick mentally. He should be treated as such. Since when do we torture or castrate mentally ill people?

Lock him up, certainly, but in the right facility. This is a major problem everywhere. Mentally ill people are repeatedly locked up in jails with other criminals when mentally ill people who commit crimes cannot be considered criminals in the same way as, say, a gangland criminal. A gang banger who shoots a rival does that knowing the consequences and fully understanding what they're doing. I'm not sure that this man is fully aware of what he's doing. Again, I'm not excusing his behaviour or crime, but he needs to be seen for what he is - a very sick individual.

    Lol:pac:

Seriously though, according to the report, it also seems as though the guy intentionally scalded himself to perhaps influence the trial.

That's the behaviour of someone who is not just crazy, but also very cunning and dangerous.

What's the reason for being reasonable?

    Is that an unreasonable question?

The issue of why he was allowed enter the country and that type of thing is irrelevant. We export more than our own fair share of filth from this country.
For example, where is Larry Murphy now? Or look at the amount of Irish scum on the Costa del Sol or in Amsterdam.

The Treaty of Rome allows for free movement of EU citizens among member states. Article 4 (I think, open to correction on that)

Anyone with a predilection for playing with themselves (in public) should be made wear boxing gloves on top of the handcuffs. And for fcuk sake hide the Nurofen.

I'd be more concerned about the fact that the guy's defence lawyers probably got every psychiatrist under the sun to look at him and try to get him declared insane or unfit to stand trial but couldn't... which means what in the eyes of mental health experts he was of sound mind and knew exactly what he was doing, but did it anyway.

That's not a sign of being mentally ill, that's a sign of being a psychopath. ie mentally fit but with no conscience or concern for right or wrong.

Also the fact that they believe he threw the boiling water over himself to delay the trial - not the actions of a mentally ill man, rather those of someone calculating who will go to extreme lengths to achieve his means.

The guy's a psychopath and there's no cure for that. All the counselling in the world won't change him.

And who gets to pay for this "treatment"?
We do - there is a large chance he is irredeemable / untreatable.
My suggestion is that in such cases we execute and use his organs for people on urgent waiting lists. As per an earlier similar post we can even then provide a small % of what his incarceration would have cost us to his family.

But to lock him up for a few short years (4) only to allow him back out on our streets - that to me is barbaric. This guy is just going to do this again - and we will all be back on here bemoaning how sick he must be and what extra treatment he now needs.

Bleeding hearts do my head in - lets see how you feel if he was to attack some relative of yours.

The Mods make me laugh on Boards.
Here we have a bunch of trolls advocating among other things, ritualised torture, internment, summary justice without trial, gang rape, execution, thinly veiled xenophobia and castration for a person who is clearly seriously mentally disturbed .
I understand the trolls - venting your anger and all against this monster and it is AH after all.
However in the real world we are signatories to a Convention on Human Rights that was initiated after the WW2 in an attempt to eliminate these very type of abuses which were doled out by the Nazis to Jews Gays Politicals Gypsies and the mentally ill amongst others. Have the Mods nothing to say to people advocating violent retribution or are they keeping their heads below the parapet?
Makes me laugh cos I got banned from a forum for a month because I had a light hearted jibe at someone. I should have said at the time that I was going to pull his finger nails off and then shoot him in the head the next time I saw him. Mods me hole!
