    Hi Guys,

Anybody got one of these? I'm interested in picking one up but I'd like to run a few questions past someone who's had experience using them.

    Cheers!

Never tried one of them, but i did pick up a ceriatone bluesbreaker a few years back. Amazing amp. A few of the lads on here have tried it and will attest to how awesome it sounds :D

The ceriatone build quality is top notch and Nik Azam is a great guy to deal with. The transformer did blow though, i should point that out. I think he used to use fairly meh, generic brand transformers but that was years ago so he has quite possibly changed that.

Thanks for your reply. I have a laney vh100r but I want something with a bit more smooth overdrive rather than out and out gain. The laney's od channel is a bit too "modern" sounding and I like the dumblesque tones I've heard from the overtone special but it's hard to judge from the videos on youtube. Did you deal directly with Nik? Do you mind me asking how much the amp cost you all in? Shipping, import duty, etc...

Hmmmm, i think it was ~600 for the full electronics assembled and shipped. That's circuit-board, chassis, tubes and transformers but no speakers or case.

Yeah, i was talking directly to him. I just basically told him what i liked and he recommended an amp for me! Doubt he does that level of service these days though, that was a few years ago and i'd say he's a lot busier now.

Thanks for the info mate. I'm really tempted to take a chance and order one of these.

Oh and sorry, when you say case do you mean a flight case or the actual amp head casing?

Head case, as in the actual amplifier cabinet.
