Being an 18 year old immigrant, do I need paperworks just for a summer job?

I've been living in Ireland for 6 years. I just finished my Leaving Cert and I would really like to get a summer job but my mom insists that my visa is stamp 2, which doesn't allow me to go look for work. It's only a summer job, it is not like I will work permanently for full time or merely staying on Ireland for work alone.

So is it okay for me to look for a summer job? Please bear with me it's my first time looking for a job. Thank in advance.
