Playstation Network Password Change

I changed my password no problem after the whole outage thing and have been logged in to the network automatically ever since, the only problem is you need to enter your password to lodge money into your account and it won't accept it. There's not even a forgot password link that I can click on. So I tried going to the website and when I click on the forgot password link there I get the "psn is down for maintenance link" https://store.playstation.com/accounts/reset/beginPasswordResetFlow.action?target=login

So how the hell can I change my password?

Having that issue as well, having never even changed my password when this whole debacle began...

It's just a joke at this stage, still having that "psn is down for maintenance" message. Is there any way to get a change password link using the ps3? I can't seem to get one, it just keeps saying my password is incorrect.

    Are you sure?

I often buy stuff on PSN and don't get asked for a password.
Maybe you're using a sub account and it needs to be set up by the master account to allow you to spend money.

As a workaround you can buy a PSN card to buy games etc.

I can't add money to my wallet or whatever they call it without inputting my password. Are you saying you can just enter credit card details (saying that in the context of a sony website makes me a bit nervous these days) directly as you're buying something? Cos if I didn't need to enter a password that would do me fine.

Buying PSN cards seems like way too much hassle. You probably need a password to register them with your psn account anyway do you?

In Account Management, you can turn the "Request Password at Checkout" option 'on' or 'off.'

Hows it going. I'm looking this up for someone who isn't the most computer literate.

Bumping this thread because they are having the same issue. They can't top up their playstation store account because their password is no longer valid.

They also can't get a mail sent to them with a password reset due to the psn website not sending.

    Any help appreciated.

    Thanks
