what to do while waiting for medical card

    Hey all,

    I sent in my application form around 3 weeks ago for a medical card. Ive got a couple of prescriptions i need per month and i cant afford them but i need them. i was just wondering if anyone knows what i can do in regards to paying for prescriptions while im waiting for my form to be sorted?

    i would say you will have to wait to see if you pass all the criteria to qualify for a medical card, id say there is no way of getting them unless you pay for them.

    maybe i'm wrong.

    You could ring the Medical Card place and see if you've been pre- approved. I got my number off them this way and could get my prescriptions while I waited for the actual card.
