Do you mean the external one will not work,or is the same as the touch pad?

make sure the nipple mouse in your keyboard isn't causing the problem, update your drivers

failing that you might have to get the keyboard or motherboard replaced as i had to do with Dells that came into me

the external mouse has the same problem, i have updated the drivers, it is not worth replacing the mother board i think, so i will suffer away for another while.

Go to start, control panel, mouse, try changing the speed, slow it down .Theres various options there.

a usb wireless modem might fix the problem, cost 15 to 20 euro,as it would use different drivers than a usb modem.theres usually a driver, installation program, cdrom in the box.
