    It depends on your status.

An you an Irish or other EU citizen?
Do you have a medical card?
Are you normally resident in Ireland?
Have you been in hospital in the last year?

Its not just a case of yes but what nation your a resident of. The EU agreement is that people get equal treatment for equal cost to their own country when in another eu nation. It sounds like your Irish though so yes, you will have to pay a cost but I thought xrays and the overnight stay was covered in your PRSI.

There is no charge for the ambulance, but there is a €100 Accident & Emergency Department charge.

and that include blanchardstown connolly hospital, they were trying to charge for ambulance's but it's an illegal charge as the A/E ambulance service in this country is free.

Have you tried ringing the hospital? They will tell you for sure if your are going to be charged and if so how much.

Probably (Almost certainly) €100 ED Levy
Possibly €100 overnight rate but that may not apply if you did your 24 hrs in the ED.

If it was a road accident or other incident that may result in legal proceedings you may get a bill "at cost", in anticipation that your car insurance / the person who caused your injuries will pay for same.

Health insurance would normally cover the overnight rate but not the ED levy.
