When will this nonsense end, as the country buckles and those lucky to have a job are paying more tax, it seems that in the Public Sector not only are you more likely to enjoy good pay & conditions, there is a very good chance, despite what the Gov/Minister says, you'll get a bonus.

The fat cat of public sector NTMA, over 20 staff earning €250k+pa. Unbelieveable, and then they spend millions on advising consultants.

Can we hire a Greek demo?

Yeah, how dare I get any form of extra money for working my arse off.

Let's stop people dying on hospital trolleys first and let's give disabled kids a proper education.

Pay off the €100Bn off private debts we've been lumbered with and then we can start talking about paying people bonuses.

How would my not getting a bonus help that? I don't work in the public so I'm not exactly robbing tax money, bonus for me equals more vat in the public coffers.

Pretty sure it's Public sector bonuses everyone is annoyed with, not private sector.
