    Hi Guys

Posted on here ages ago about an external boiler. Holidays and all I havent done anything about it but going to get it up and running now. Contacted RVR and then sent me the following: VICTRIX X 24 2I - 24kW Condensing System Boiler with Flue Kit (Natural Gas)

Does anyone know if this boiler is any good?

Also they have sent on the following unit for putting the boiler external: http://www.rvr.ie/Products/SIA084/0_292_31_33_37/

Does anyone know will this fit most standard boilers? Thanks

Being honest I never heard of that boiler.

I be worried about getting parts for it down the line, and for the same money you could get a more well known boiler like vaillant, viessmann, or worcester.

I've fitted 2 of these this week. Exact same model as posted. Very easy to fit. It's a lovely looking boiler to be fair and the casing is good quality. It'll have to be mounted minimum 300mm above ground level to allow for service. Supplied by RVR in Kenmare. i'd have no worries in reccommending the victrix.

Looks like a good idea ,but theres headbangers out there that would crow bar that unit off the wall.

Not if in back garden, would have to go thru house to get to it, so would have bigger issue if they are in houes:D

Yeah seen the casing, around 200 euro, do you know if all boilers would fit into it?

Always wary of outdoor gas boiler models, re frost protection, unlike an oil boiler that freezes may well survive, but if it happens a gas boiler usually there is significant damage to the appliance (seen a few of them last winter in out houses etc)

A lot of new boilers have inbuilt frost stats, so would be suitable for that casing. A great idea IMO,if they were a bit cheeper! Anyone know if there's insulation on the inside ?

Would hope its not an issue to put outside, really would be best to suited to have outside. I guess the casing would have insulation??
