I was thinking of changing the strings on my acoustic guitar from a 12 to 11.
Do I need to do any other adjustments to the guitar, I've heard some conflicting advice on this.

This guitar with original strings to these strings.

Best thing to do is just try them, I doubt you'd need to do much adjustment if any. Try them first then report back :)

since your only changing from 12 to 11 might be no need to adjust anything,
depends on how you like your action or if you wanna make some changes (like adding a Piezoelectric pickup or want to fit a new bridge) then maybe some adjustment might be needed but i doubt it, if the guitar feels the same once you've changed em, just roll with it

Seems to be ok, had to retune slightly again today having put them on last night.

Action is the same as far as i can tell, I'm a bit of a novice when it comes to changing strings and set ups and stuff like that.:o

This is the second time I've used these strings on my guitars and I ether don't like the sound of new strings or just these ones...I'll have to try different ones the next time.

If there's any change it's going to be that the action will be slightly lower cos there's less tension on the neck.

used it over a week now and I can't notice any difference yet.. but i'll have to take back my statement about not liking the new strings, after using them for a day or so they sounded much better and are staying in tune near perfectly.

Your strings should stay intune soon as you put them on. Its a good idea to stretch them out before finishing tuning, tune a string to pitch then pull it off the fret board around the 12th fret, do it a couple of times. Check the tuning again, it'll drop. Keep pulling the string off the fret board until the tuning becomes un effected or close to. Go easy or you'll snap them.

Tends to be a bit of give on new strings, if you dont stretch them out they'll fall out of tune in no time.
