Dental query??

    Any dentists out there? looking for a bit of help I got a filling done on my molar (had an old filling there already) 2 months ago everything fine however end of May same tooth started intermittingly causing pain not severe just a dull ache on on off my have it for an hour a day nothing for two days then have it the following night for couple of hours!!? I went back to the dentist 2 weeks ago and he said there is no form of decay there but it may need to be monitored I have to go back in two wks for a clean just curious as to what is causing the pain when he said there was no decay only so much pain killers and clove oil I can take. I'm not sensitive to hot/cold foods and never had wisdom teeth out. I guess in time it will be down the road of root canal or extraction for it strange though how there is no decay at the tooth :confused:
