Has anyone played this course lately? If so what kind of condition was it in? Playing there on Sunday.

Last played it in April and it was in good nick then, would imagine it has at least maintained that, as previous ^^^ tough walk and some tight fairways, but that won't be a problem if your a straight hitter...

Played it a few months ago and apart from greens it was in great condition and a member here said the greens had only been done so should be in great condition now too. It is a good walk though with some nice steep hills.

Yea def has maintained that drove past it recently looked very nice indeed. Tough walk alright bur can get past that. its forgiving enough do i think good scores are possible out there, once the legs dont wear out !! You should play Portarlington, lovely parkland course excellent condition excellent greens too !!

Played here today. It was in perfect condition. A great course not overly long but needs to be given a lot of thought.

Just played here for the first time today. Excellent course, nice variation in holes, elevated greens, water features etc. Didn't find the rough too punishing as many people had been complaining about either.

However, I can happily state that the 6th hole is the most ridiculous golf hole I've come across. Big dog leg par-5, about 270 odd to the corner which was impossible to reach in the wind out there. OB right, bunkers left (beside knee deep rough and a massive drop into the next fairway). And the actual fairway is so narrow you'd hardly land a two seater on it. Okay, rant over, but what a ridiculous hole! Not a clue how to play it.

Tough hole the 6th yeah, the day i won there 2 months back i nailed a drive right down to the end had about 195 to the pin i think. But most other times unless you cream it, it really is a blind shot round the bend. Best way to play it if ya come up short of the bend is just 2 wedges

Simple way to play, Hybrid, 9 iron over the corner and 9 iron or PW in. All depends on the wind direction. If you slice it leave the driver in the bag.

Played there last weekend and I had same impression, excellent course, 6th a bit nuts (especially when playing for first time)

I managed it fairly well though

Hit a 3 wood to just shy of the corner, then a five iron to 50yrs of the green.
    Up and down then....

(3 wood was 3rd shot from the tee, and 5iron was 8th after hitting OOB twice)

Easy Hole if you discount that though :D

    3 x 7 irons, maybe 3 x 6 irons depending on the wind.

Left myself 172 to the pin today from the drive, cream crackered it..Still a stupid hole imo tho

That's some drive, around the 300 mark. Was playing into a savage breeze the last day but I'd still never make that. Think I'll be playing it with three seven irons the next day. Odd carry on for a par-5.

Yep milled it, ive gotten to that corner last time too but that was downwind a bit. Pin was knida centre front so prob about 290 or so puck..If ya can keep the drive down the left and dont get too greedy on the 2nd shot itl be ok i reckon

It is and missing on the left side of the fairway is no bargain either, deep rough and dead. Solid drive to the corner nevertheless and accurate, you hit a good shot if you reached the corner today.
