UPC V TV

    I have just upgrade to UPC multi room and I have a strange problem. When I turn on the tv the upc remote wont work with the upc box.However when I power down the TV the UPC remote works, I can see the numbers on the front of the box change.

    I have checked that the power cables etc are not touching and I have swapped the box with another one from the house and have the same problem with this TV. I have no issue with the connections or cables etc. There must be some conflict or something.

    The upc box and remote then begin to work after 10mins or so.

    Any ideas? its doing my head in

    do you turn on the tv with the upc remote if so when the tv is on try pressing the upc button at the top of the remote. then try and control the box


    otherwise its most likely infrared overspill form the tv.

    is there a light sensor in the tv try turning it off

    Thanks for the rely ,I did try the different remotes pressing UPC button etc. It must be some oversplill Ill look at the settings on the TV settings tonight.
